Can I Pay FUE Hair Transplant Monthly

Can I Pay FUE Hair Transplant Monthly Some people are not satisfied with their look. They may not like their body shape, facial features, or in some cases, their hair. If you do not like your hair because of its style or colour, you can easily change them. But if it is because you are suffering from hair loss, you may need treatment or surgical operations. Lots of people today suffer from baldness. It does not matter if you are male or female, young or old, you can suffer from it. But that is not the end of the world. In the market, there are lots of products that promote hair growth and make the hair strands stronger. If you already tried them and you are not satisfied with the results, do not worry. To get rid of the bald areas on the head, there are more options. One of those options is the FUE hair transplant.

Are You a Good Candidate for an FUE hair transplant

As stated above, people of all ages and genders can experience hair loss. Before deciding that you should have an FUE hair transplant, you should be sure that you are a good candidate. So, who is a good candidate? Firstly, if you are under 25, you should not rush having an FUE hair transplant. Our hairline keeps developing until the age of 25. That means even if you are suffering from hair loss at a young age, it would be better to wait. Another important point is having realistic expectations from the transplant. Cosmetic operations surely make you look better. But having unrealistic expectations will disappoint you when the results are visible. On the other hand, undergoing the procedure will require some recovery period. So, before having an FUE hair transplant, make sure that you can take a few days off.

FUE hair transplant Procedure

There are two main hair transplant techniques. The first is the FUT (Follicular unit transplant) technique. In the FUT technique, the surgeon takes a strip of skin from the back of the scalp. On the strip, there should be follicles. Then, he divides the strip into smaller pieces and inserts them into the balded area. The second technique is the FUE (Follicular unit extraction) technique. In FUE hair transplant, the surgeon takes the follicles one by one, rather than cutting a strip of skin. Therefore, an FUE procedure takes more time than a FUT procedure. The surgeon will explain which technique will be better for your situation. If there is a need for covering a bigger bald area, using FUT may be better. During FUE procedures, the surgeon works together with his/her team to make it easier. But still, the whole procedure can be divided into a few sessions.

Your head needs to be shaven for the procedure. If it is not, the surgeon will shave the donor and recipient areas before starting the procedure. So as not to make you feel any pain or discomfort, the FUE hair transplant procedure starts with numbing. The surgeon will use a local anaesthetic to numb your scalp. After that, he/she will start harvesting follicles from the donor area with his team. The donor area is most of the time the back of the scalp. The hair on the back of the scalp is so strong that they do not fall off unless extreme situations occur. Afterwards, the surgeon will open small cuts with a needle on the area that suffers from baldness. He will insert the follicles into those cuts carefully. This step is called grafting. Finally, to end the procedure, the surgeon will cover the surgical site with bandages.

What Happens after the FUE hair transplant Procedure

FUE hair transplant procedure is done on an outpatient basis. That means you can go home after the procedure. You may not be able to drive, so it will be good to have someone to drive you home. For a few days, you should stay at home. Resting will ease the recovery process and you will avoid the exposure of the operated area to the sun, cold, and other things. Until 3-4 days after the surgery, do not wash your hair. After that, you can wash it gently. Brushing and combing the hair may harm the operated area, so avoid them for a few weeks. Your surgeon will tell you when you can wear head accessories depending on the recovery of the surgical site. Putting yourself under physical stress may affect recovery negatively. So, for a while, do not exercise and ask someone else to do the heavy house chores.

Even though the FUE hair transplant procedure is generally safe, sometimes, patients encounter some complications. Things like infections, allergic reactions, bleeding, bruising and swelling, and numbness can occur after the procedure. You should contact your surgeon if you encounter one of those complications. Also, you may see that the transplanted hair is falling off. That is totally normal. In a while, that hair will grow back. As there is no incision involved in the FUE hair transplant procedure, there will be no scars. However, you may notice small dots on the operated area. Those will fade out in time and your hair will cover them, so, they will not be visible.

How much Does FUE hair transplant Cost?

The cost of an FUE hair transplant depends on many things. All hospitals may not use the same quality of equipment, so they may charge differently. Likewise, different surgeons have different experiences and standards, so they charge differently too. Other things like the cost of the anaesthetic, medications, transportation affect the total cost as well. The coverage of the procedure is another important thing while determining the cost. If you want to cover a bigger area, it will cost more. You can ask your surgeon about monthly payment plans. You should keep in mind that, as it is a cosmetic procedure, health insurances generally do not cover hair transplants. To get a price for an FUE hair transplant, you can contact our clinic.
