How Effective Is Fue Hair Transplant?

How Effective Is Fue Hair Transplant? Among the hair implant transplant techniques for baldness’s surgical treatment, the FUE transplant was for a long time only reserved for people suffering from minor alopecia. Today, the FUE micro transplant technique allows us to treat extensive baldness; the FUE transplant offers many benefits, especially for patients, since it will enable us to remove the follicular units without leaving a scar. So, how effective is Fue hair transplant?

Hair regrowth after the FUE procedure starts from the fourth month. A visible result is obtained around six months, and a final product after one year. With the FUE micrograft technique, no scars are apparent. It is, therefore, possible to have a hairstyle with concise hair even after the procedure.

Unlike the FUT micrograft technique, based on the removal of the grafts by strips, the FUE transplant technique does not require extended hospitalization. The procedure can be performed in just a few hours. However, these two micrograft techniques use similar principles. Namely to take hair in the Hippocratic crown region, implant them in the bare areas of the forehead, vertex, tonsure of the skull, where even eyebrows or beard. However, the FUE transplant technique is entirely manual. The sampling time is much longer than with the Strip method, and the number of grafts taken is lower.

Today, micro hair transplantation is a technique that has reached good maturity. It allows in particular to treat the rarefaction or disappearance of the hairiness of the eyebrows. Indeed, the micrograft FUE is not limiting only to the hair. It allows us to have a fuller beard for individuals whose hair is not sufficiently developing. The FUE micro-graft is increasingly used to hide certain imperfections such as scars to harmonize the lower face’s features.

FUE Hair Transplant Can Treat Large Baldness

The technique of micrografting FUE has dramatically improved in recent years, both in the fineness and accuracy of the samples (especially with a punch whose size is less than one millimeter (0.8 and 0.9 Mm). Or in the number of follicular units that it is possible to take in one session. Thus, with the FUE transplant, it is not less than 3000 follicular units (or about 1400 grafts) that someone takes. This allows practitioners to treat essential baldness. With the current FUE technique, up to 3000 grafts can be implanted over two sessions.

Although the advances of this hair transplant technique in Paris make it possible to treat the most severe alopecia, the FUE transplant is unfortunately not suitable for all hair types. It is mainly the case for curly hair since these are not straight. There is a risk that the surgeon will remove the hair without the bulb, and without the bulb, the hair will not grow back after the transplant.

It is one of the undeniable advantages of this modern technique of hair transplantation. This is the drastic reduction of the patient’s immobilization time since the intervention lasts only between six to eight hours. Indeed, an FUE hair transplant session is performing under local anesthesia in an outpatient stay. This usually begins with a complete shave of the donor area before the surgeon proceeds to remove the follicular units. For female subjects, it is possible to carry out the sampling without prior shaving. In this case, the sample is carried out at the neck area level, covered by the surrounding hair.

Removal of Follicular Units During an FUE Transplant

To carry out the sampling of follicular units, the practitioner uses a punch. It is a magnificent instrument that allows preserving the hair’s bulb when collecting on the nape and temples. Thanks to this tool, the holes are less than a millimeter in diameter, while healing is accelerating. Once the grafts are growing, the assistants check their quality to ensure that they contain between one and four hairs. These are put away before implantation, strictly speaking, in a Bath-based on physiological serum.

Differences Between FUE and FUT Hair Transplant

In an FUE hair transplant, the doctor takes each Follicular Unit individually directly from the scalp, without any tissue strips. Hair follicles are taken out arbitrarily, and the outcome is a lower density in the donor area than many do not even say.

The FUT cycle includes eliminating a little tissue segment from the head’s back, from which the donor’s hair follicles will be released. The follicles are reaping from the Strip by a competent clinical team before transplanting individually to the receiving areas. Much of the time, particularly in instances of progressive hair loss, FUT is the recommended method. It allows the doctor to make full use of the scalp area to achieve results in line with the patient’s expectations. FUT usually allows the largest number of transplants to be transplanted in a single session.

Pain management

In the absence of stitches and a linear scar to heal, FUE procedures have a faster healing time and less discomfort after the process than the traditional FUT procedure.

Some patients report higher levels of discomfort with FUT procedures than FUE while removing the strip, swelling occurs in those areas. Still, both methods have a very manageable recovery period, and your doctor can prescribe pain medication if necessary. Both hair transplant techniques are relatively simple. Hair transplants are outpatient medical procedures, with individual patients getting back to work the following day.

Scars

Since FUE procedures involve the individual removal of hair from the scalp, there is no linear scar after it. Notwithstanding, there will be tiny puncture marks with a diameter equal to or less than 1 mm that tend to heal on their own after a crust within days of the procedure. These small wounds usually recover in seven to ten days.

The FUT band extraction method usually gives a very narrow linear scar on the head’s back (as a rule with a 1 mm or less). Since the spot is skinny, it is easily concealable by any haircut style, except the shortest. A short to moderate crop setting on most clippers is sufficient to hide the scar. In the majority of patients, and, over time, the fault will become less noticeable as it disappears. This was yet another situation confirming how effective is Fue hair transplant.
